Olivia Cortes is a naturalized citizen of The United States. She has been a naturalized citizen for forty years. She says that she is running for the same seat in the Arizonian Senate as Russell Pearce. The problem that is being caused by her public pronouncements as being a legitimate candidate are not being reported by the Secretary of State of Arizona but are being asserted by other citizens who are backing another candidate for the same office. The other candidate actually running for the Senate seat is Jerry Lewis.
The situation is rather crony instigated. Olivia Cortes is a friend of Russell Pierce who has been recalled from his seat. It is the seat that Olivia Cortes says she is entitled to run for and advocates for Jerry Lewis say he should get. The problem that her detractors says should disqualify Olivia Cortes from running is that Olivia Cortes is a member of the famous Tea Party started by Sarah Palin. Her attackers claim that she is not a real candidate even though she is running for the office but a deliberately put on candidate to take votes away from there candidate, Jerry Lewis. Regardless, the fact that she is allowed to run is indisputable and whether or not she is doing it to keep Jerry Lewis out of office doesn’t disqualify her from running, after all, all opposing candidates run to keep the opposition from winning.
